ABOUT

We like to think we know a lot about how people learn and develop their identity. However, much of this remains a mystery. Through his work, Andrew seeks to uncover more about learning and what this means to be human, especially in the artificial intelligence age.
Andrew is an academic and Programme Director in postgraduate medical education in the School of Medicine and Population Health at the University of Sheffield. He is a researcher, consultant and speaker and typically advises organisations on how to create effective, evidence-based learning experiences within the workplace and classroom.
Andrew has been both at the chalk-face and in leadership positions within a range of educational sectors. He has co-authored numerous books on learning and teaching and continues to write them to impact individual teaching practice and students’ experience.

What clients say
“We formed a great partnership when we wanted to find a course to support development for our Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP’s) within their education pillar of practice. Andy listened to our needs and worked collaboratively to design a bespoke course for ACP’s which balanced learning and teaching theory with the softer and more practical skills required in an educational supervisor role … I would certainly recommend working with him."
